(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight in the middle of the week will shift back towards the UK and the release of the consumer price report for the month of June.

Economists at Bank of America anticipate that the annual rate of increase in the cost of living in the UK will be unchanged in comparison to the previous month's reading at 2.0%.

Core CPI on the other hand is expected to have ticked up by one tenth of a percentage point to 3.6%.

Yet what will most interest investors is the services CPI, where gains are expected to have slowed from 5.7% to 5.6%.

The Office for National Statistics is due to release the data at 0600 BST.

Later, at 1000 BST, Eurostat is seen reporting that euro area consumer prices gained at the same pace in June as in May, by 2.5%.

Stateside, at 1315 BST the Department of Commerce will publish industrial production data for June.

In the background, markets will be keeping a close eye on the headlines out of the third plenum of the Chinese Communist Party's 20th National Congress, just in case market sensitive announcements are made.
