(Sharecast News) - Telecom Plus reported sustained strong performance for the current financial year in an update on Tuesday, having highlighted robust growth in its annual results in June.

The FTSE 250 company, which was holding its annual general meeting, said it was confident in its ongoing success, attributing it to its multiservice customer proposition.

It said the approach, which bundles household utility services, allowed the firm to maintain a competitive edge in a "normalised and rational marketplace".

"Our current rate of growth places us firmly on track to double the size of the business to two million customers over the medium term, whilst continuing to grow profits and shareholder returns," said chairman Charles Wigoder.

At 0926 BST, shares in Telecom Plus were up 0.45% at 1,774p.
