(Sharecast News) - Tekcapital announced on Thursday that its autonomous vehicle technology investee Guident had inked a strategic partnership with AuVe Tech, an Estonian company specialising in autonomous transportation systems.
The AIM-traded firm said the collaboration aimed to integrate Guident's AV remote monitoring, control, assistance, and passenger support services with Auve Tech's 'MiCa', a compact and flexible level-four autonomous shuttle.
Tekcapital said Auve Tech's MiCa shuttle was known for its turnkey autonomous transportation capabilities and fleet management software, tailored for diverse environments.
It said that, by leveraging Guident's teleoperation solution, MiCa aimed to enhance its safety features and bolster Auve Tech's position as a leader in self-driving technology.
The incorporation of Guident's technology would entail both a hardware fee and a recurring licence fee for each vehicle equipped with the solution.
"Since establishing our strategic partnership, we have been thrilled to collaborate with the Auve Tech team on several projects," said Harald Braun, executive chairman and chief executive officer of Guident.
"We believe that the combination of our advanced teleoperation technology with the innovative MiCa autonomous shuttle represents a significant leap forward in advancing safety, reliability, and autonomous driving capabilities across diverse weather and traffic conditions."
At 1425 GMT, shares in Tekcapital were up 13.04% at 15.82p.
