Spirent Comms on track to meet expectations

Communications technology firm Spirent said profits increased by 7% to $31.1m in the three months to the start of November.Revenue grew by 6% to $130.2m, with basic earnings per share rising 11% to 3.23 cents.Spirent said it was on track to meet full year expectations.The firm said it had seen continued strong growth in demand for its wireless, positioning and data centre test solutions. This offset weaker demand in its service assurance and systems business."Regionally Asia Pacific continued to grow strongly, with macro-economic concerns weighing on North America and Europe," the firm said."We expect similar market conditions will remain through the fourth quarter this year."
