(Sharecast News) - ITM Power confirmed on Wednesday that Amy Grey would assume the role of chief financial officer on 6 January, earlier than previously anticipated.

The AIM-traded firm announced Grey's appointment on 12 September, when it disclosed that she would join by early March.

At the time, it said Grey would bring extensive financial leadership experience, having previously served as CFO at Sheffield Forgemasters.

Her background included senior roles such as vice-president of finance for Greenlane Renewables and finance director for Heras Perimeter Protection.

Grey was succeeding Andy Allen, who was stepping down from the board on the new CFO's appointment, and would remain with the company in a different capacity to ensure a smooth transition.

At 1125 BST, shares in ITM Power were up 0.53% at 45.28p.
