Safety, health and sensor technology supplier Halma is buying Accudynamics Inc for an initial $24m (£15.2m). This deal is immediately earnings enhancing and boosts Halma's presence in the medical and scientific markets. Massachusetts-based Accudynamics manufactures pumps, fluid handling components and integrated electromechanical assemblies for medical diagnostic systems and devices. Accudynamics made an operating profit of $3.7m (£2.4m) in the year to June 2010. A further $7m (£4.4m) could become payable depending on earnings growth for the period 1 July 2010 to 31 March 2011.
