Halma, the FTSE 250 safety, health and environmental technology group, has announced the appointment of Paul Walker as its Chairman Designate, and a non-executive Director, beginning April 12th. He will replace outgoing Chairman Geoff Unwin in that role immediately following the annual general meeting on July 25th this year. Walker is currently a non-executive Director of Experian and WANDisco, and is the Chairman of Perform Group. He has also previously served on the boards of Diageo and MyTravel Group. Stephen Pettit, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Nomination Committee appointed to lead the succession process, said: "We are delighted to welcome Paul to the board of Halma and to be our next Chairman.
