Housebuilding and construction firm Galliford Try has been awarded two new affordable housing contracts worth a combined £106m.Galliford Try's Partnerships business has won its largest-ever single project, being selected by Notting Hill Housing to build the £81m Great Eastern Quays project in East London.The work will see the construction of up to 350 mixed tenure homes, as well as public-space development including business, retail and leisure areas.Partnerships has also been selected for a £25m contract with Registered Provider Coast and Country Housing to build six new 'Extra Care' developments in Redcar.The group will create 225 units and ancillary facilities over the next three years."Affordable housing has become a real success story for our company across the country," said Galliford's chief executive Greg Fitzgerald.Meanwhile, the company said it has secured funding of £20m from the HCA under the Affordable Homes Programme 2015-18, the largest facility made to a commercial housebuilder.BC
