Galliford Try has bagged £59m of new infrastructure business.The housebuilding and construction group said the largest of three contracts it has recently won is a £30m deal from Scottish Water for the Meadowhead and Stevenston work package 6, which will be carried out by Galliford Try's Scottish business, Morrison Construction, in joint venture with Black & Veatch. FThe purpose of the scheme is to collect storm overflows from Irvine town centre and transfer them to Meadowhead waste water treatment works.The next largest deal is a £20m contract for a regeneration scheme in East Belfast which will be carried out in a joint venture with SIAC (NI) Ltd. Led by the East Belfast Partnership, the scheme will establish a linear park along the Connswater, Knock and Loop rivers. The programme is due for completion in summer 2013.The final contract is worth £9m and has been awarded by Network Rail. Galliford Try will upgrade security at 29 powered signal boxes throughout the UK.
