Housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try is hooking up again with affordable housing provider the Affinity Sutton Group to buy and develop two sites in the south east of England.The two sites will have 296 homes built on them. The Wilmington Estate in Haywards Heath, west Sussex, will have 185 new homes built on it, of which 71 have been earmarked as affordable homes for social rent.The regeneration of the Ramsden Estate in Orpington, Kent, will see 111 new homes provided, 53 for private sale and 58 affordable homes."We are already working with Affinity Sutton on the long term development of the 800 homes net carbon neutral scheme at Graylingwell Park in Chichester in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency," noted Galliford Try's chief executive Greg Fitzgerald. "The agreement now entered into underlines Galliford Try's commitment to partnering with leading registered social landlords to deliver both affordable housing stock and private homes for sale," Fitzgerald added.
