The Scottish infrastructure business of Galliford Try has been selected as the preferred bidder, as part of a joint venture, to design and construct a bridge over the River Forth, for a contract worth £790m.Galliford Try's unit, Morrison Construction, will, along with its joint venture partners, be responsible for the design and construction of a cable-stayed road bridge called the Forth Replacement Crossing, situated between West Lothian and Edinburgh."Galliford Try has a strong presence in Scotland through Morrison Construction and today's announcement gives us an opportunity to further demonstrate our technical expertise and strengthen our existing relationship with Transport Scotland," said chief executive Greg Fitzgerald.
