(Sharecast News) - London-focused property group Great Portland Estates has let nearly 7,000 square feet of retail space at Orchard Court in Marylebone to luxury home appliances brand Gaggenau.

Gaggenau, has taken 6,900 sq ft of retail space on a 10-year lease, doubling its footprint from its current location, to create a new flagship store for the brand at 6/7 Portman Square, just behind Selfridges in Central London.

Extensive refurbishment works will start in the coming months, with the property set to be the anchor of Great Portland Estates' newly marketed 'Portman and Wigmore' development, which includes 1/9 Portman Square and 132/142 Wigmore Street, W1.

"We are delighted that Gaggenau will be opening its new flagship at Portman Square," said GPE's head of retail, Sarah Goldman.

"As one of the leading luxury home appliance brands, the decision to relocate from globally recognised Wigmore St and increase its footprint within the West End highlights the appeal of our central location at Portman & Wigmore, and shows we are committed to strengthening the retail offer."
