Water group Northumbrian gushes higher after Ofwat said it can raise annual bills by £17 to £331 over the next five years, having previously indicated it would only allow a £3 rise. Peer Pennon is also higher. Sticking with liquids, shares in Irn-Bru maker Barr and Tango firm Britvic are fizzing after the latter's strong results yesterday. Turning to alcoholic drinks, pub group Enterprise Inns is lower after peer Mitchell and Butlers, also a faller, said it made a good start to its new financial year, but worries about the strength of consumer confidence and possible tax rises after next year's General Election. Elsewhere in the sector, JD Wetherspoon is higher. Publisher Informa, whose share price has been volatile lately following its announcement on Tuesday that it is in discussions over the possible acquisition of German publisher Springer, is today's heaviest faller.FTSE 250 - RisersNorthumbrian Water Group (NWG) 266.70p +4.22%AG Barr (BAG) 897.00p +3.34%Britvic (BVIC) 379.40p +2.54%Pennon Group (PNN) 496.20p +1.91%DSG International (DSGI) 37.25p +1.86%Fidessa (FDSA) 1,122.00p +1.54%Domino Printing (DNO) 294.40p +0.82%JD Wetherspoon (JDW) 465.60p +0.71%Daejan Holdings (DJAN) 2,716.00p +0.22%Spirent Communications (SPT) 93.30p +0.21%FTSE 250 - FallersInforma (INF) 274.30p -7.95%Melrose (MRO) 176.20p -6.97%Interserve (IRV) 203.20p -6.92%Lamprell (LAM) 162.60p -6.87%Ashmore Group (ASHM) 269.80p -5.99%Intermediate Capital Group (ICP) 260.50p -5.89%International Personal Finance (IPF) 193.30p -5.48%Millennium & Copthorne Hotels (MLC) 344.80p -5.25%Enterprise Inns (ETI) 98.30p -5.12%Paragon Group Of Companies (PAG) 137.00p -5.12%
