Serco gained after the support services group reached a 68.5m-pound deal with the UK government over its troubled electronic tagging contract.Serco, which has faced a probe into allegations of over-charging for tagging criminals, has agreed a full and final settlement with the Ministry of Justice linked to issues with the electronic monitoring deal.Hotel stocks edged higher including Enterprise Inns and Millennium & Copthorne Hotels after InterContinental Hotels Group reported the disposal of an 80% interest in InterContinental New York Barclay.Mining stocks fell sharply including Centamin and African Barrick Gold as metal prices declined.
