The share price of set-top box maker Pace has taken a battering since the company announced its first quarter results on Tuesday morning, in which it lowered its guidance for the full year. The group said costs have been increased by the need to build up inventory levels ahead of schedule to ensure the company can fulfil customer orders. Additionally, the supply chain environment has been rocked by the Japanese tsunami, which has increased risk for the year. Meanwhile, the retailing sector is unwanted, with shares in Supergroup, Dunelm, Carpetright and JD Sports all lower. However, the FTSE 250 has risen nearly 1.3% on the day so far, helped by strong gains by EnQuest and Morgan Crucible.Engineering group Morgan Crucible posted a better than expected performance in the first four months of the year and is confident of being modestly ahead of expectations at the half year. UK-focused oil and gas group Enquest is set to become the operator of both the Crawford and Porter developments located in the UK Continental Shelf, after acquiring a majority stake in UKCS Block 9/28a (Area B).Internet and catalogue home shopping company N Brown is also performing well after full-year profits came in ahead of expectations, helped by the first-time contribution from lingerie retailer Figleaves, prompting the group to hike its dividend by 15%. ---BCFTSE 250 - RisersPremier Foods (PFD) 35.44p +8.21%EnQuest (ENQ) 137.50p +5.77%Morgan Crucible Co (MGCR) 331.60p +5.57%Brown (N.)
