FTSE 250 Movers: Mothercare regains some ground

Mothercare was topping the FTSE 250 leader board after its chief executive officer of nine years, Ben Gordon, announced that he is leaving the firm "by mutual consent" next month. Petropavlovsk was falling despite being upgraded by Numis from "add" to "buy".Centamin Egypt was also on the up after it achieved a 67% increase in production at its main Sukari site.The Sukari mine, located in the eastern desert of Egypt, produced 50,539 ounces of gold in the quarter to the end of September, 67% more than the same time last year and a 5% rise on the previous quarter.Internet and catalogue shopping firm N. Brown had a solid first half to its trading year but sales have gone ex-growth in the second half, causing shares to drop 5%.Ladbrokes is lower a day after walking away from its preliminary discussions with Sportingbet, due to regulatory concerns with Sportingbet's Turkish language website.
