FTSE 250 movers: Euromoney Institutional rises on broker comment

Euromoney Institutional Investor gained after Westhouse Securities upped its target price on the stock from 898p to 1,110p. Shares in fund manager Xaar climbed on the back of a price target increase from Investec from 840p to 920p, with an 'add' rating on the shares. Brewer and pub group Marston's regained some of yesterday's sharp declines, which it suffered despite serving up improved full-year revenue, lifting its dividend payment and noting an encouraging start to its new financial year. Marston's, which owns over 2,000 pubs in the UK and is the world's largest brewer of cask ale, did admit its operating margin of 21.5% was 0.4% below last year and earnings per share were only on par with the previous year's at 12.3p.Meanwhile, Enterprise Inns was firmly in the red. The pub group yesterday received a hold rating from Panmure Gordon & Co. Infrastructure, construction and support services group Carillion was also on the up after it was named as the preferred bidder to deliver a range of property services for a regeneration programme in Sunderland. The contract is worth at least £100m over the first eight years and potentially up to £800m over 20 years. Housing stocks continued to be flat or lower following the Bank of England announcement yesterday that it will scale back a scheme to boost mortgage lending as evidence begins to point to a housing market boom.
