FTSE 250 movers: Domino's Pizza rises on confident outlook

Leading the risers on the 250 was Domino's Pizza after its Chief Executive, Lance Batchelor, said the firm is confident in meeting City expectations for the full year. The fast food delivery chain reported 10.4% growth in UK system sales for the third quarter (13 weeks to September 29th) to £140.9m, up from £127.6m the year before. This was a slight slowdown from the 13.8% growth seen in the first half due to an "extended period of unusually warm weather". Year-to-date system sales from its 750 stores in the UK were up 11.1% at £437.9m.SOCO International said testing of the TGT-10XST1 exploration well on the H5 fault block of the Te Giac Trang field in Vietnam exceeded expectations. The well flowed at a combined average maximum production from the three zones tested at more than 27,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Meanwhile, precious metals miner Hochschild Mining fell after it agreed to acquire the remaining share of two gold and silver mines in Peru from its partner in the country, and has proposed an institutional placing to raise part of the necessary funds. Soft furnishings retailer Dunelm declined after admitting soaring temperatures eroded sales at the start of the quarter, although it did return to growth over the remainder of the period and is confident for future trading.
