(Sharecast News) - Construction output in the eurozone rose 0.8% in December from the prior month, according to official data released on Tuesday.

The fall compares with a downwardly-revised 0.4% decline in November.

"A plunge in output in Germany, by 3.4% on the month, along with falling output in Slovakia and Austria, were more than offset by increases elsewhere, including France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands," said Melanie Debono senior Europe economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics.
