UK homewares retailer Dunelm Group on Wednesday posted a 15.4 per cent rise in revenue for the third quarter following the opening of three stores.Total sales value for the 13 weeks to March 30th 2013 came to £177.8m, up from £154.1m the previous year.During the period the company opened three stores, including one re-location of an existing superstore, taking the total number for the financial year to 14 and its superstore portfolio to 125 stores at year end.The firm said it has seen progress in its multi-channel business and revenue growth due in part to the impact from the spring/summer catalogue launched in early March. The period ended with net cleared funds at bank of £32.7m. "After a further period of solid trading and strategic progress, we now annualise our exceptionally strong comparative performance in the final quarter of last financial year," said Chief Executive Nick Wharton."Accordingly, we anticipate that sales growth in like for like stores will become much harder to achieve in the remainder of the current financial year. "With clear opportunities to strengthen further our customer offer in store, to roll out more new stores and to benefit from our exciting multi-channel agenda, the noard remains confident in the longer term growth prospects for the business."RD
