Carillion and its joint venture partner Qatar Building Company, have been awarded a £395m contract for an important phase of the Msheireb Downtown Doha project.The project is developed by Msheireb Properties, a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. The 80:20 joint venture contract, which is worth around £316m to Carillion, will begin this month. Carillion group chief executive, John McDonough, said: "We are delighted to have been selected to deliver this prestigious project, which will make a major contribution to the regeneration of the centre of Doha.
