Carillion JV secures £570m uni campus deal

Carillion's joint venture company, Al Futtaim Carillion, has won a design and build contract for New York University Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island Campus by Mubadala, worth about £570m.The Saadiyat Island campus will include extensive classrooms, library and information technology facilities, laboratories, student, faculty and staff housing, athletic and performance facilities, and is expected to have a student body upwards of 2,500. Construction is expected to start in the third quarter and to be completed by the first quarter in 2014.
