(Sharecast News) - Tritax Eurobox gained on Tuesday after Brookfield Asset Management said it was in the early stages of assessing a possible cash offer for the company.

Tritax confirmed in a statement late on Monday that it had not received a proposal from Brookfield.

"There can be no certainty that any firm offer will be made by Brookfield nor as to the terms of any such offer," it said, adding that a further announcement will be made "as appropriate".

At 0830 BST, the shares were up 1.8% at 61p.
