Barratt Developments appoints William Hill's Neil Cooper as new CFO

Housebuilder Barratt Developments said on Thursday that Neil Cooper will join the board as an executive director in the capacity of chief financial officer.Cooper is currently group finance director of William Hill and was group FD of Bovis Homes from 2007 until 2010. Prior to that, he worked for eight years with Whitbread in finance roles across a range of businesses.Neil Cooper will join Barratt when he has fulfilled his contractual obligations to his existing employer at a date to be confirmed.Barratt chairman John Allan said: " am delighted that we are appointing someone of Neil's outstanding calibre and experience to the board as CFO in succession to David who steps up to the role of CEO on 01 July 2015."Barratt shares closed at 618.50p on Wednesday.
