Graeme Dell, the Finance Director of FTSE 250 emerging markets fund manager Ashmore Group, has stepped down from the board with immediate effect, the firm announced on Tuesday.Dell, who was appointed to the board back in December 2007, is leaving to "pursue other business opportunities" but will remain employed to ensure a smooth handover to his replacement Tom Shippey.Shippey, a chartered accountant, is currently Ashmore's Head of Corporate Development, responsible for developing and implementing the company's corporate strategy globally. Prior to joining Ashmore in 2007, he worked for UBS Investment Bank where he advised on the Ashmore initial public offering in 2006.Mark Coombs, Chief Executive Officer, said: "I would like to thank Graeme for the significant contribution he has made to Ashmore's development over the past six years and wish him the very best in his future endeavours."BC
